As a Research Trainee, you will contribute to a cross-disciplinary research project from a supply chain and logistics perspective together with experienced researchers.

Our team, Intelligent Supply Chains and Logistics works with the following three topics: 1) Sustainable supply chain management (SCM) and sustainability in logistics, 2) implementation of new technologies for SCM and logistics, and 3) supply chain resilience. With these research topics, we aim to significantly improve environmental, economic and social sustainability of supply chains and logistics systems of different industries.

What your responsibilities as a Research Trainee would include?

  • Primarily scientific project work related to logistics and supply chain solutions in a circular economy, such as conducting a literature review, analysing different kinds of material and reporting results.
  • Depending on your interest and background, possibility to support in other projects related to some of the above-mentioned three topics of the team.

Who we are looking for?

  • Master’s student in a relevant field. E.g. Master’s student in logistics, supply chain management, circular economy business or other relevant field.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in Finnish is an advantage
  • Passionate about finding new solutions by scientific research
