As a Workday Integrations Consultant (m/f/d), you will be part of our Group IT team and take end‑to‑end responsibility for the design, stability, and continuous improvement of our Workday integration landscape. You will collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, and external partners to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performance data flows between Workday and connected internal and external systems.

This role is a great match for someone who combines strong technical expertise with solid process understanding and enjoys designing and operating complex, global integration architectures in an in‑house environment. What you will be doing:

Integration Ownership & Operations

• Design, build, enhance and maintain Workday integrations end‑to‑end (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs)
• Ensure stable, secure and performant data exchange between Workday and downstream systems
• Monitor integrations, analyze incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Increase efficiency through automation of testing, monitoring and operational tasks
• Implement Workday releases and new features within the integration landscape

Projects & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Advise internal stakeholders on integration capabilities, technical design and best practices
• Contribute to global and cross‑functional HR IT initiatives such as rollouts, process optimizations and system extensions
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings and architecture overviews
• Collaborate closely with internal IT teams such as Security, Infrastructure and Data Management

Quality, Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with data protection and security requirements (e.g. GDPR)
• Plan and execute testing, validation and quality assurance activities
• Continuously optimize the integration landscape with a focus on performance, stability and scalability

What you need to succeed:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs)
• Strong understanding of HR processes and Workday master data structures
• Proven ability to create custom reports, calculated fields, and business logic to enable accurate vendor data extraction
• Solid knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, Web Services, SFTP, and related technologies
• Experience with integration architectures and interface concepts
• Strong experience with regression testing during Workday releases (R1 / R2)
• Expertise in Workday security fundamentals, including Integration System Users (ISUs), Integration System Security Groups (ISSGs), and domain permissions
• Good knowledge of reporting, authentication policies, and certificates
• Workday Extend experience is a plus
• Experience in technical project management is a plus
• Analytical, structured, and quality‑focused working style
• Proactive mindset and strong ownership, with eagerness to drive both personal and professional growth
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey ideas and collaborate with stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, demonstrating respect for different cultural perspectives
• Willingness to travel internationally, when required
