Outdoor Activity Worker, Lapland Safaris
Lapland Staff is looking for Outdoor Activity Workers for Lapland Safaris Hetta for the Christmas season 2025.
A workday of an Outdoor Activity Worker consists of various tasks including overseeing outdoor activities in a Christmas themed activity area surrounded by beautiful Lappish nature. As an Outdoor Activity Worker, you will be working with international groups of guests, consisting of families with children. Your job is to make sure that all guests, children, and grown-ups are having a day full of joy and fun. The work is mostly independent, but at the same time you are a part of a big team which works in the same area.
Outdoor Activity Workers work during the busiest Christmas season, which means that working days are hectic and sometimes can be long. The length of the days varies according to the group and the program. The work includes preparation of the activity area and different kinds of maintenance work, as well as cleaning the area after the end of the day. The important task of providing clothing for our guests can also be your responsibility, as well as clothing maintenance.
Communication with guests is conducted mainly in English. Your English language skills do not have to be excellent, but you need to be able to give instructions to our guests in English and at least briefly answer their questions or direct the questions to another colleague.
In Hetta your workplace can be the toboggan slide or bobsleigh hill, you might be teaching the guests to drive the snowmobile, or you might be serving hot berry juice in the snow castle and telling stories about the castle itself. You might also be part of the very important team that organizes the visits to Mr. Claus himself! In Hetta, providing clothing to the guests and clothing maintenance plays a big role in the Outdoor Activity workers’ daily routines and work tasks.

Before the start of the actual work, Lapland Safaris organizes training for the new staff. Knowledge, skills, and safety are the main principles of the training. Training language is English. Employees will also be briefed on each task at the beginning of their employment.
The employment relationship is a fixed term seasonal contract by the Collective Agreement in the Adventure Services sector. Work will begin in mid-November or at the end of November and will last approximately until the Christmas holidays. Salary according to the Collective Agreement of Adventure Services grade A, hourly wage starting from 10 € (gross). Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays. Sundays and Finnish bank holidays are paid double. Please note that we are looking for local workers who have their own accommodation. Unfortunately, we are not able to assist with finding accommodation at the moment.
