We are looking for a finance professional to join our customers a small and collaborative finance team in Pori in a role that combines cost controlling and accounting responsibilities. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of manufacturing finance, business analysis, and accounting. The primary focus is on cost controlling and management reporting, while accounting tasks form an important part of the role.

Your Responsibilities

Cost Controlling & Financial Analysis (Primary Focus)

• Manage and develop product costing processes and cost calculations.
• Analyze product profitability and support decision-making with actionable financial insights.
• Prepare and develop management reporting and financial performance analyses.
• Monitor budget versus actual performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support cash flow monitoring and financial planning activities.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor costs, machine costs, and overall cost structures.
• Participate in inventory-related financial controlling, including inventory valuation, aging analysis, and scrap reporting.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management and operational stakeholders.

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Participate in selected accounting and reporting tasks.
• Assist with audits and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ensure financial data accuracy and support internal controls.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the finance function to ensure smooth daily operations.

Systems & Process Development

• Contribute to ERP and finance process development initiatives.
• Support improvements in reporting, costing, and financial control processes.
• Help enhance financial visibility and cost awareness across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant experience in cost accounting, controlling, finance, or accounting.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of product costing and profitability analysis.
• Solid accounting knowledge and willingness to work with both controlling and accounting responsibilities.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• ERP experience; knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems is considered an advantage.
• Understanding of Finnish accounting principles and financial controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a structured way of working.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
