Head of Units, Palsatech
We are looking for a Unit Manager for our client, Palsatech for units in Sala and Kiruna, Sweden. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a key role in a growing international company.
Your Role
You will lead the comprehensive management and development of our production units, including personnel planning and improving competencies and work practices. The role involves commissioning new projects into operational activity in close collaboration with geologists, geotechnicians, and clients. You will monitor the department’s revenue and, in the future, contribute to independent service sales. Additionally, you will support unit maintenance to ensure operational reliability and foster interdepartmental cooperation and operational model development as part of the company’s management team.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Process Engineering, M.Sc. (Tech.), Geology M.Sc., or equivalent (extensive relevant experience may also be sufficient)
- At least 3 years of experience in responsible roles within the mining and/or exploration industry
- Strong initiative and willingness to develop yourself and our growing business in the region
- Ability to be based in the Sala or Kiruna area and travel regularly between units
- Fluency in Swedish and English (any level of Finnish is an advantage)
- Experience and willingness to participate in sales and customer service
- A track record of using CRM systems (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar)
We expect you to have a positive, development-oriented attitude toward safety, quality, wellbeing at work, and efficiency. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and the International Strategy & Development Lead and act as a foreman for our skilled geologists and geotechnicians on site.

The position is covered by the Collective Agreement for Senior White-Collar Employees in the Technology Industry. Average weekly working time is 37.5 hours, with a working time bank in use. A drug test is required as part of the pre-employment medical examination.

Palsatech
Palsatech, founded in 2013, provides solutions for the mining and mineral exploration sectors, covering personnel, logistics, facilities, and production needs. We employ approximately 70 people in the Nordics and are continuously expanding our international operations. According to our 3- year strategy our aim is to heavily expand our operations in Sweden.
Our facilities, Palsacenters, focus primarily on geological and geotechnical logging, handling, and storage of drill core samples from various customers. Our employees also spend part of their working time at other company units or at customer sites. Palsacenter Sala has been in operation for around 18 months and Palsacenter Kiruna is going to be opened in the early 2026.
