Service Technician, Beamex, Pietarsaari
Pietarsaari | Permanent | Full-time
Are you interested in hands-on technical work where you get to work with high-quality measuring instruments and see the concrete results of your work?
We are now looking for a Service Technician to strengthen Beamex's service team. In this role, you will focus primarily on servicing and repairing Beamex devices as part of an experienced and collaborative team.
Your Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you will work with Beamex devices at different stages of the service process. The work is practical and independent, but you will have a supportive team around you whenever needed.
Your daily tasks will include:
Preparing devices for calibration
Creating cost estimates
Repairing devices, initially focusing particularly on mechanical repairs
Preparing service reports
Finalizing serviced devices and preparing them for the next stage of the process
You will work closely with other service technicians, service coordinators, and the logistics team. Since you may be working on several different devices during the day, the ability to organize your work and prioritize tasks is an important part of the role.
Although the main focus of the position is on repairs, you will not necessarily be limited to them. If you are interested in developing your skills later in other service-related tasks or calibration work, there may be opportunities to do so.
What Kind of Team Awaits You?
You will join a team of approximately ten service technicians, ranging from early-career professionals to highly experienced experts.
At Beamex, everyone has their own areas of responsibility, and the work requires an independent approach. However, no one works alone. Team members help each other and share knowledge whenever needed.
The work environment is clean and calm, and we normally work regular daytime hours with flexible working times. We also continuously develop the way we work, so you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving both your own work and our working methods together with the team and production engineers.
What We Expect from You
You could be an excellent fit for this role if you enjoy hands-on technical work, are detail-oriented, and have strong practical skills. Above all, we value a proactive and positive attitude and the ability to take responsibility for your own work.
The following qualities will help you succeed:
Good hands-on skills and an interest in working with technical equipment
Initiative and the ability to work independently
The ability to prioritize your work
Accuracy and careful adherence to work instructions
A positive and collaborative attitude
A suitable educational background could be in electronics, automation, or another technical field. Previous experience in equipment repair, electronics repair, or measurement technology is considered an advantage.
However, you do not need to be a seasoned service technology expert. Someone at the beginning of their career can also be a great fit if they have technical aptitude, strong practical skills, and a willingness to learn.
Finnish and Swedish language skills are considered an advantage in this role. Strong English skills are important, as you will communicate with both international customers and colleagues as part of your work.
