Christmas Operations Coordinator, Lapland Safaris Saariselkä & Rovaniemi
Lapland Staff is looking for Christmas Operations Coordinators for the Christmas season 2026 in Saariselkä and Rovaniemi.
The duties focus on handling and organizing the safari programs for charter flight travelers. The coordinators form a team who manage the Christmas Operations as a whole, with the operator’s daily schedule being its core. This includes, for example, transportation scheduling, cooperation with tour operators, and management of bookings for various safaris with our suppliers. The Christmas Operations Coordinator mainly works as part of a team, but must also be capable of independent work, and if necessary, also acts as a guide.
We expect you to have an active and energetic attitude, a suitable education, and previous work experience within the tourism field in Lapland, as well as a flexible and firm approach to handling tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills are required as you will be guiding other team members in their work. December is a very busy travel month, so we also hope for problem-solving ability and the ability to work under pressure. The work environment is international, so you must have fluent verbal and written English skills. Knowledge of Finnish language is a big advantage in this position. Other language skills and previous experience in guiding work and providing tourism services are considered an advantage.
In Saariselkä the work is carried out in two different teams depending on the tour operator. In this role, you act as a key link between the tour operator and the transport company, ensuring smooth cooperation between all parties. You are also responsible for efficiently communicating last-minute changes to subcontractors and partners. The role involves active communication both internally and externally, including communication with subcontractors and the tour operator using various systems. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, strong IT skills and the ability to understand and manage overall operational processes.
In Rovaniemi the work is carried out in two different teams depending on the tour operator. You are responsible for the overall logistics across the different components of the travel package, including group planning, daily operational execution, cooperation with subcontractors, and invoicing. You are also responsible for maintaining and updating the ERP system, which makes strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications essential for this role. You are not expected to know everything on your own, as you will always have the support of a strong team behind you.
A driver’s license is required in Rovaniemi, and in Saariselkä it is considered an advantage.

Lapland Safaris provides new employees with paid, role-specific training at the beginning of their employment.
The employment relationship is a fixed term seasonal contract by the Collective Agreement in the Adventure Services sector. Work will start in October/November 2026 and last until the beginning/mid of January 2027. Salary according to the Collective Agreement of Adventure Services grade B-C, hourly wage starting at 12,20 € (gross). Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays. Sundays and Finnish bank holidays are paid double. Accommodation is organized in shared rooms, with reasonable rent in comparison to the local price level.
