Jyväskylä Sinfonia is the pearl of classical music in the middle of Finland. Orchestra operates in Jyväskylä and visits the entire province. The orchestra reaches yearly about 40 000 listeners in our nearly 150 events from symphony concerts to cross-genre special productions and music events for audiences of all ages. Orchestra’s Chief Conductor is Italian maestro Lorenzo Passerini.

PRINCIPAL HORN
In addition to playing in the large orchestra set up, the work program includes regular audience outreach work in smaller ensembles.
Audition: Monday 1st of February, 2027 at 1 pm. The audition takes place in the Encore Hall of Jyväskylä Sinfonia, Lutakonaukio 12 (Paviljonki).

W. A. Mozart: Concerto for Horn No. 4, I movement and cadenza
R. Strauss: Concerto for Horn No. 1, I movement

Accompanist is available at the audition. The audition may include a job interview. We expect the applicant to have good interaction and teamwork skills. Terms of employment are determined according to the national collective bargain (KVTES). The salary for the position is 3522,40 euros, in addition bonuses can be paid according to the KVTES.
The position will be filled starting 30.3.2027 or by agreement. There is a probation period in the position.
