Lapland Staff is looking for a kennel worker/sled dog guide for Levi-Ylläs husky kennel in Muonio for the summer season 2025.

Lapland Husky Safaris Levi-Ylläs is located in Matinvaara, Muonio near the Olos and Pallas fells. During summer time you would be working with 180 sled dogs and 4 guides. On our main season during winter the kennel's staff consists of ten employees. Work environment is international and almost all of our guests are foreign tourists. In the summer the life in kennel is more peaceful and focus is more on taking care of the dogs.

We are looking for two kennel workers for summer, whose daily responsabilities are cleaning of the kennels, feeding the dogs and taking care of their excercise. The job is very important part of the dogs’ well-being. Your job tasks might also include assisting guiding and maintenance work.

In your work, you need good physical condition, a brisk attitude, and the ability to tolerate ever-changing situations. Work languages are Finnish and English and either one should be fluent. 

The most important thing for us is a realistic understanding of the demands of the work, especially its physical nature, but also the reward - every morning, hundreds of colleagues greet you so enthusiastically that you almost need hearing protection.

We are looking for two employees: during 1.6.-30.11. and 1.7.-30.11.  Possibility to continue as a sled dog guide for the winter season 2025-2026.

You need to have EU-citizenship/passport or valid working permit to Finland.

The employment relationship is a fixed-term seasonal contract by the collective agreement of the Adventure Services Sector. Salary is according to the requirement group A-B of the collective agreement (Adventure services sector), starting from 10,50 €/hour.  

The workplace is approximately 20 km from Muonio, so your own car is necessary for moving between home and work, as there is no public transport. Lapland Husky Safaris is a non-smoking workplace. We can help with the acquisition of accommodation/apartment.
