Position Overview: As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in educating the next generation of electrical engineers. Your responsibilities will include delivering expert instruction in professional subjects within electrical power engineering, tailored to your own expertise. Additionally, you may contribute to teaching fundamental electrical engineering topics and oversee thesis projects while designing and coordinating laboratory activities. You'll actively participate in curriculum development to ensure alignment with industry needs and have opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research and development projects.
Qualifications: We're looking for candidates with a deep understanding of electricity distribution and transmission systems, coupled with a passion for innovation and learning. Teaching is given mainly in Finnish, but fluency in Finnish is not required from the start, and we will provide support in learning Finnish. Applicants should hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in technology (MSc/MEng or PhD/ScD/EngD) and possess at least three years of relevant industry experience. A Professional Teacher Education qualification is required for teaching responsibilities, although it can be obtained during employment. In the absence of formally qualified candidates, individuals with substantial industry experience will also be considered, with temporary employment offered accordingly.
