We are looking for a a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Technical Footwear Developer

to join our small, agile, design-forward team. This role will focus on supporting the creative process and transforming concepts into precise, manufacturable footwear. A strong background in shoemaking pattern engineering, last development, and technical development processes is essential. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product innovation and technical execution in children’s footwear.

What you will bring to the team:

Your key responsibilities:

• Technical development
  • Translate design concepts into detailed, production-ready specifications
  • Evaluate prototypes through multiple sampling stages to ensure design and technical accuracy
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and component specifications to guide product realisation
     
• Cross-functional collaboration
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Design, Product Management, and factory partners
  • Represent the technical point of view during fit signoffs, proto reviews, and confirmation sample approvals
     
• Last development & fit optimisation
  • Lead the development of anatomically correct lasts tailored to children’s biomechanical needs and growth stages
  • Ensure accurate and consistent fit across styles and size ranges

What you will need to succeed:

• 5+ years of technical footwear development experience, preferably within children’s or performance categories
• Deep understanding of children’s foot anatomy, fit dynamics, and grading principles, as well as experience conducting wear tests with children – both with empathy and professionalism
• Hands-on experience working with global factories and interpreting their technical capabilities
• Strong organisational, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
