We’re looking for a Clothing Maintenance Worker to work with us on the 24-25 winter season!

Do you love organising closets, cabinets, and kitchen cupboards? Do you enjoy seeing the instant results of your job? And would you love to spend a winter in the winter wonderland? If yes then we might have a perfect job for you!

Your main tasks as a Clothing Maintenance Worker is washing socks and balaclavas and handing out gear to our guests (overalls, shoes, mittens etc) when they go for a safari or when they arrive for a longer stay. You make sure our clothing venue stays clean and organised, and that we won’t run out of clean gear. Also, your duties include making sure the safari kitchen is in order, and that we are well stocked with everything we need - meaning you’ll keep a close eye to our stock of juice, kampanisu (a traditional Finnish pasty), candles, biscuits, coffee etc. Generally, your main task is making sure the customer area is clean and tidy.

What we require:

  • EU-citizenship/passport or valid working permit to Finland

  • a lot of initiative
  • fluent English, Finnish would be great
  • passion for organising
  • ability to handle stress and busy workdays
  • understanding of customer service job.

Also, we appreciate if you are flexible, and you can speak (Finnish) English and French (also other languages like German, Dutch and Spanish can be handy). Most of all, we would appreciate an eye for detail.

The working relationship is fixed-term seasonal contract by the collective agreement of Adventure Services Sector. Hourly wage at least according to Collective Agreement of Adventure Services grade B, 11,55-12,90 € gross. Work will start in November 2024 and will endure approximately until April 2025. We help our staff to find accommodation in shared apartments, with a reasonable monthly rent. Please notice that Lapland Safaris is a non-smoking working place.
