Front Desk Salesperson, Lapland Safaris

Lapland Staff is looking for Front Desk Salespersons for various Lapland Safaris locations for the winter season 2025-2026. We are looking for Front Desk Salespersons for Levi, Ylläs, Saariselkä, Luosto and Rovaniemi. Please note that in Rovaniemi you should speak fluent Finnish.

A Front Desk Salesperson is a true multitasker. As the front of the safari house, you will serve our international and domestic guests. You will help the guests choose the most suitable service for them, make reservations, and handle the process further. The Front Desk service point also handles equipment rentals, the Safari Shop store, as well as pricing and displaying its products. Additionally, your tasks include working at the cash register and assisting guests during safari departures. Front Desk Salespersons work very closely with other teams, such as sales and production.

However, the work is not only done face-to-face at the customer service point, but part of your work will take place in the back office using various systems. Therefore, we expect good IT skills and proficiency in multiple systems from those selected for the Front Desk. Back-office tasks include making and managing reservations, responding to messages received from our guests via email and phone, and communicating with stakeholders. A significant part of the work takes place over the phone, so we require readiness for customer service via phone.

Responding to customer feedback and messaging on social media are also often part of the Front Desk job description, but the emphasis of tasks varies by destination and within the season.

Front Desk also assists the Clothing Team in handing the equipment to the guests and in dressing them.

In Rovaniemi, the work particularly emphasizes behind-the-scenes tasks: you will not only serve individual guests but also handle group orders, which are tailored with their own schedules. In spring, the focus of work in Rovaniemi is on checking brochures for the next winter season and updating the system.

In Levi, your work can be face-to-face customer service or independent work in the back office depending on the shift - work is done in three different shifts.

In Saariselkä, the proportion of equipment rental and guidance on their use is significant. In December, you will participate in assisting safari tasks outdoors, and store management is also emphasized.

In Luosto, the work is mainly face-to-face at the safari house reception, and daily customer service via phone and email is also part of the job. Safari sales and equipment rental are the main focus, and work is done in two shifts.

We expect from you:

  • Customer service skills and being sales-oriented

  • Initiative and eagerness to learn new things

  • Excellent cooperation and social skills

  • Problem-solving skills, flexibility and ability to handle pressure

  • Accuracy required in handling money and calculating the cash register

  • Fluent proficiency in English, other languages, especially French, are considered an advantage

We offer you:

  • Support from a top work team and a varied job description

  • An international work community

  • The beautiful landscapes of Lapland

  • An easy way to come to work in Lapland

  • Numerous leisure opportunities

  • Comprehensive staff benefits of Lapland Hotels & Lapland Safaris. You will receive benefits for example from equipment rental, restaurants and Lapland Ski Resorts’ lift tickets.

The employment relationship is a fixed term seasonal contract by the Collective Agreement in the Adventure Services sector. Depending on the destination, the work will begin in October-November and last until the end of February or March-April. Salary according to the Collective Agreement of Adventure Services grade B-C, hourly wage starting from 12,50 € (gross). Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays. Sundays and Finnish bank holidays are paid double. Accommodation is organized (except in Rovaniemi) in shared rooms, with a reasonable rent in comparison to the local price level.
